Wilpattu is defined by its remarkable network of naturally occurring lakes that attract leopards, sloth bears, elephants, and buffalo across a wild, densely vegetated landscape. Its relatively low visitor numbers create an exclusive safari atmosphere. Wildlife populations have rebounded impressively in recent years. Best from February to October.
