Your Daily Path

Day 01 - Arrival in Negombo

Private meet-and-greet at Bandaranaike International Airport. Transfer to Negombo. Check in at a family-friendly beach or lagoon resort. Evening beach walk with sunset views and an optional lagoon boat ride. Overnight in Negombo.

Day 02 - Negombo → Wilpattu

Journey north toward Wilpattu National Park through coconut plantations and rural landscapes. Afternoon jeep safari in Sri Lanka’s largest national park – leopards, sloth bears, elephants, crocodiles, and birdlife. Evening wildlife storytelling and conservation conversation. Overnight in a safari lodge near Wilpattu.

Day 03 – Heritage Pathways

Drive to the UNESCO-listed Anuradhapura. Family-friendly exploration of ancient stupas, monasteries, reservoirs and the sacred Bodhi Tree, with engaging storytelling sessions. Optional cycling through heritage pathways. Evening lakeside dining. Overnight in an eco-heritage lodge.

Day 04 – Authentic Village Life

Scenic drive into Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle. Authentic village experience with bullock cart rides, canoe crossings, and traditional cooking demonstrations. Arrival in Sigiriya. Evening nature walks and family relaxation. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 05 - Sigiriya Family Heritage Day

Early morning Sigiriya Rock Fortress climb (recommended for children aged 7+). An optional, easier Pidurangala Rock for younger families. Afternoon pool time, village cycling, or nature activities. Evening cultural storytelling and bonfire outdoor dining. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 06 – Cultural City of Kandy

Journey toward Kandy with spice garden and fruit market stops. Evening visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Optional Kandyan cultural dance performance with drumming and fire acts. Overnight in a family-friendly boutique hotel in Kandy.

Day 07 – High Tea & Mountains

Scenic drive through waterfalls and tea plantations. Gregory Lake family activities: paddle boats, rowboats, cycling, and lakeside parks. Evening high tea and mountain atmosphere. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 08 - Horton Plains Family Nature Experience

Early morning family-friendly Horton Plains trek (recommended for children aged 8+). Visit World’s End and Baker’s Falls with a scenic picnic breakfast. Alternative waterfall experience for younger children. Afternoon cafe relaxation in cool-climate highlands. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 09 - Scenic Train Journey to Ella

Board the iconic scenic train from Nanu Oya to Ella, a 2.5–3-hour rail experience ideal for families and photography. Arrival and visit to Nine Arch Bridge. Relaxed mountain cafe culture. Overnight in Ella.

Day 10 – Elephant Sightings

Journey south to Udawalawe National Park. Visit the Elephant Transit Home to observe the ethical rehabilitation of orphaned elephants. Afternoon jeep safari for close elephant sightings, water buffalo, and birdlife. Continue to the southern coast. Optional beginner surfing in Weligama (aged 8+). Overnight at a beach resort.

Day 11 - Whale Watching & Galle Heritage Experience

Optional early morning whale watching from Mirissa (Nov–Apr) with blue whales and dolphins. Afternoon visit to UNESCO-listed Galle Fort with ramparts, artisan boutiques, cafes, and family cycling. Evening drive to Colombo. Overnight in Colombo.

Day 12 - Departure

Relaxed breakfast depending on flight timing. Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
